The Bing is still the thing!
Categories: Uncategorized

We launched the first Bing in January this year, 10.2″ screen, Intel270 based and Windows XP pre-installed; and we made the list of the top 10 most popular laptops within a month.  For those who wonder, Bing is not named after Microsoft’s latest search engine attempt. Bing is actually a cherry cultivate, and the Cherrypal Bing was in the market way before Microsoft coincidentally came up with similar naming ideas. We are still not sure if we should sue Microsoft or wait until they sue us. Christmas is coming up. Let’s keep the peace.

Intel N270 based systems have issues, and trust me, we here at Cherrypal had our fair share of dealing with processor related issues. So, the Bing2, as we call our new super-slim 13.3 inch laptop, is much more stable, very robust and last but not least, a real beauty. Why did we increase the screen size. The trend to mini-laptops is unstoppable but unfortunately our fingers don’t shrink as fast as screeen sizes do. Cheap is good, and if price is the most important criteria a 7″ laptop is better than no laptop at all (see Cherrypal Africa) but in order to work comfortably you need 13 inches plus, period, based on the feedback of our customers.

Speaking of great products, unlike Apple Cherrypal doesn’t have a bright mind like Steve Jobs on board. Cherrypal’s  genius are our customers who tell us exactly what they want, we just listen -  and we do it, it’s that simple.

I’m just amazed at how the art of the backhanded compliment has been raised to such lofty levels.

I’m afraid it left me behind years ago. So you don’t have Steve Jobs mind on board, about all thats left to do, is actually listen to your customers?

Good show! I like the Cherrypal Africa, I think its great to have a $99 laptop.

So we’ll see a linux OS on Bing 2 soon?
So we don’t have to unwillingly support MS.
I recommend Linux Mint 8 Helena.

  6. I just subscribed to your RSS feed, not sure if I did it properly though? Good article by the way.
